The classic, strong JEMA bucket elevator is constructed of galvanised steel, making it well-suited to outdoor use. Conveyors are often subject to considerable wear and tear, which also applies to the steel glide plates of a bucket elevator. By fitting the elevator with thermoplastic (PEDH), used for such household appliances as chopping boards, the rate of wear is reduced, allowing the plates to last up to 5 times longer.
